About Calijuete

Calijuete, pronounced as "kah-lee-wet-eh" is my own version of the Tagalog word “kaliwete,” which means left-handed. Growing up, my dad always teased me for doing everything with my left hand, it became something that made me different, and something I grew proud of. That little quirk inspired the name of my shop.

I’ve always loved working with my hands, creating, and giving thoughtful gifts. I didn’t always know what I wanted to sell, but I knew I wanted to share things that bring comfort and joy, because gift-giving has always been my love language.
